The artist Shraga Landesman, Presents his work: The inspiration for my work
comes from several sources: the Bible, archeological finds in Israel, memories from
childhood, and nature. We can see examples of these sources in the this menorah:
‘Tree of life with Birds’ Menorah, For me, this menorah is a picture from childhood. I
grew up in a house near an orchard. I remember seeing a worker arriving in the
morning with his hoe and making a trench around the tree. He took a hose and
filled the trench with water, and the dry leaves floated on top. That was the system
for watering back then. ‘Tree of life with Birds’ Menorah is made from Brass cast.
