Ahava Bookend
One of the iconic features of the Israel Museum’s art garden is Robert Indiana’s 13-foot-tall steel Ahava Bookend, created especially for the Museum in 1978 on the basis of his famous sculpture LOVE. Like in the original English version, here too the Hebrew word’s four letters are split into two rows of two letters sitting on top of each other.
Inspired by Indiana’s timeless sculpture, this stylish bookend will grace your shelves while keeping your books in place with LOVE!
Robert Indiana’s work is a gift of Beverly and Dr. Raymond Sackler, Connecticut, to American Friends of the Israel Museum, to the people of Israel in the spirit of international brotherhood.
