17th Century Sun Crown Decoupage Tray
A small coronation under glass. This 17th Century Sun Crown Decoupage Tray was lifted from a 17th-century postcard found in a box of British ephemera- its edges worn from pockets and parades-whispering of kings, queens, and the sparkle of a thousand tiaras. Part talisman, part toast to the United Kingdom, it’s a wink to anyone with a soft spot for royalty and pageantry.
Handcrafted in Ben's Garden's New York studio in the French tradition of decoupage, the artwork is laid in reverse so it gleams through crystal. Each tray is individually signed by Ben. Food-safe and wipe-clean with a felted back, it’s as practical as it is charming- ready to catch jewels on a vanity, lemons at cocktail hour, or to stand proudly on a gallery easel or hang with a plate hanger.
Every piece arrives with a folded card explaining the time-honored process. A gift for Anglophiles, princess-in-training friends, and anyone who likes a little crown with their cocktails.
